Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll LLP announced that the firm has opened an office in Los Angeles led by an experienced consumer protection attorney who will be relocating from Washington, D.C., to lead its expansion into the West Coast market.
Partner Geoffrey Graber, who has been with Cohen Milstein since 2015, will be the firm’s first attorney based out of Los Angeles, according to Monday’s announcement.
“This is an exciting milestone for Cohen Milstein as we continue to grow our national platform and extend our reach,” the firm’s managing partner, Benjamin D. Brown, said in a statement. “The expansion reflects our continued investment in key markets and positions us to pursue new opportunities in this dynamic market while delivering the high-caliber, vigorous advocacy that defines our firm.”
A graduate of the University of Southern California’s Gould School of Law, Graber focuses his practice on representing consumers in class action litigation involving false advertising, fraud, data privacy theft, and other unfair business practices by a range of corporations including social media companies, automakers and healthcare companies, Cohen Milstein’s website said.
“California is a key jurisdiction shaping the future of consumer protection and complex litigation,” Graber said in a statement. “We see tremendous opportunity to advance important litigation on behalf of consumers and businesses here and across the nation.”
Graber is currently representing a class of Americans suing the federal government for allegedly overcharging for expedited passport processing, and a proposed class of Facebook users suing Meta over allegations that the social media giant illegally intercepted their personal health data, Cohen Milstein added.
