Theodore J. Leopold Honored with Florida Justice Association’s Prestigious EAGLE Centurion Award

June 23, 2016

Theodore J. Leopold was honored with the EAGLE Centurion Award presented by the Florida Justice Association (FJA) for his lifetime commitment to leadership and public justice advocacy, and for his tireless efforts to protect access to Florida courts.  The Centurion Award recognizes those who have contributed $250,000.00 to the Endowment for Association Giving to Law and Education (EAGLE) program. The award presentation ceremony took place on Thursday, June 23, 2016, during the Justice Luncheon during at the FJA annual convention at The Breakers Palm Beach Hotel.

EAGLE is the fundraising arm of the FJA and its political action committee, the Florida Lawyers Action Group (FLAG), which fights to preserve Florida’s civil justice system.  During legislative sessions and political cycles, EAGLEs like Leopold, work closely with political action committees, learning about potential legislative threats and responding quickly and aggressively to legislation that may negatively affect the rights of Florida’s citizens. They know that being a plaintiff’s attorney requires that they serve as an advocate both inside the courtroom and inside the Florida Legislature.
