Harini’s panel program, Class Action Essentials (Fundamentals), takes place on Thursday, November 5, 2026 at 8:00 a.m.
This session will provide an introduction to the fundamentals of employment class and collective actions, covering certification under both the Fair Labor Standards Act and Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 23. Panelists will examine the certification requirements, key procedural differences between FLSA collectives and Rule 23 classes, and strategic considerations for plaintiffs and defendants alike. The program will also explore significant differences among the federal circuits, highlighting evolving standards and emerging trends.
