Agnieszka Fryszman Speaks on Forced Labor in Global Supply Chains

American Bar Association

November 6, 2026

Agnieszka Fryszman, a chair of our Human Rights practice, has been invited to speak at the ABA’s 20th Annual Section of Labor and Employment Law Conference at the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC, November 4 – 7, 2026.

Agnieszka’s panel program, Forced Labor in Global Supply Chains: Compliance, Enforcement and Liability, is on Friday, November 6 at 2:25 p.m.

Given the increased scrutiny of global supply chains and pressure on corporations to identify and eliminate forced labor to avoid legal and reputational consequences, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, the EU and several U.S. states all require companies to do some level of due diligence on reporting forced labor risks in their supply chain.

This panel will discuss the elements of forced labor and human trafficking, the international and domestic legal and regulatory framework governing this area, the various avenues through which antitrafficking advocates hold companies liable for forced labor in their supply chains, and strategies that companies can employ to meet their legal obligations to detect forced labor while trying to limit their legal exposure.

  • Mark Eskenazi, Fox Rothschild LLP, Washington, DC
  • Caryl Flannery, Houston, TX
  • Agnieszka Fryszman, Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll, Washington, DC
