Cohen Milstein’s Takisha D. Richardson, member of the firm’s Complex Tort Litigation practice and Sexual Abuse, Sex Trafficking, and Domestic Violence team, has been invited to speak to students at Inlet Grove High School in Riviera Beach, FL on Thursday, February 20, 2020.

Ms. Richardson will speak to girls who are between the ages of 15 to 17 years old and who are members of the Delta Academy. During her presentation, “Let’s Talk About Sex,” she will discuss human trafficking, what is and isn’t appropriate to post on social media and more.

On Wednesday, January 29, 2020, Cohen Milstein Partner Laura H. Posner, a member of the firm’s Securities Litigation & Investor Protection and Ethics & Fiduciary Counseling practice groups, will take part in the New York City Bar’s 8th Annual Securities Litigation & Enforcement Institute. The full-day CLE program brings together prominent experts to discuss current issues, trends and developments in securities litigation, regulation, and enforcement.

Ms. Posner, Chair of the Bar’s Securities Litigation Committee, will speak on the panel “Developments in Securities Class Actions.” The panel will be led by Gregory A. Markel, and will also feature Brad S. Karp, Susan Saltzstein, Meredith Kotler, Adam Hakki, and George Conway.

Cohen Milstein Partner Agnieszka Fryszman spoke on the topic “Rule of Law Framework for Combatting Trafficking in Human Beings,”

Agnieszka Fryszman is the chair and founder of the Human Rights practice at Cohen Milstein. She represents individuals who have been victims of torture, human trafficking, forced and slave labor and other violations of international law. Her work includes: 

  • Guantanamo Bay Detention: Agnieszka represented, pro bono, two individuals detained by the United States at Guantanamo Bay who were ultimately cleared without charge.
