Joseph M. Sellers Receives NAACP “Foot Soldier in the Sand” Award

Joseph M. Sellers, chair of Cohen Milstein’s Civil Rights & Employment practice, was honored by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) at its 109th Annual Convention held on July 16, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas.

Mr. Sellers received the NAACP “Foot Soldier in the Sand” Award in recognition of Cohen Milstein’s “outstanding contribution of pro bono legal services to the NAACP,” including the firm’s “exemplary work on the DACA case as well as the Flint water crisis class action, assistance with our messaging to the Department of Justice regarding policing consent decrees, willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty whenever we call upon you for assistance, and faultless professionalism at every turn making Cohen Milstein more than deserving of this award.”

Cohen Milstein is honored to be representing the NAACP in both the DACA Litigation and Flint Water Crisis Class Action Litigation and to be a long-time partner with the NAACP on other important pro bono matters.
