Two named Rising Stars, the firm is a finalist in multiple categories including Plaintiffs Firm of the Year
Washington, DC – Cohen Milstein is pleased to announce that Joseph M. Sellers has been selected by The National Law Journal for a Lifetime Achievement Award as part of its 2023 Elite Trial Lawyers awards. In addition, Alison Deich and Daniel R. Sutter have been named Rising Stars.
Joseph M. Sellers, co-chair of the firm’s Civil Rights and Employment practice, is widely recognized as a civil rights and employment law visionary and innovator. With a career spanning more than four decades, his work is expansive. He helped draft the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, the Civil Rights Act of 1991, and the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Restoration Act of 2009. In effect, he has helped lay the cornerstones of today’s employment and civil rights laws. He continues to lead many of the nation’s most important employment and civil rights lawsuits.
Alison (Ali) Deich, a newly minted Antitrust partner with a distinguished judicial clerkship background, is highly regarded for her legal analysis, writing, and work with economic experts. Ali is helping lead some of the largest, groundbreaking litigation in the U.S. in not only competition, but civil rights law.
Daniel R. Sutter, an associate in the Employee Benefits/ERISA practice, helps spearhead many of the firm’s high-profile ERISA class actions against the likes of BlackRock, Nationwide, and other fiduciaries that oversee employee pension and retirement plans.
Cohen Milstein has also been named a finalist for Plaintiffs Firm of the Year, the Diversity Initiative Award, and Practice of the Year in Antitrust, Civil Rights, Employment Rights, and Securities Litigation/Shareholder Rights.
Winners will be named at the Elite Trial Lawyers award ceremony on July 13, 2023.
