Sarah Lundberg is a staff attorney in Cohen Milstein’s Antitrust practice. She assists in discovery and evidentiary-related aspects of litigation and deposition preparation.
Prior to joining Cohen Milstein, Sarah was a litigation associate at a highly regarded, Minnesota-based plaintiffs’ law firm, focusing largely on discovery in antitrust class actions involving price-fixing, market allocation, and favored nation monopoly conspiracies.
While attending law school, Sarah clerked at the Minnesota State Public Defender’s Office and the Ramsey County Public Defender’s Office.
Kyle Johnson is a staff attorney in Cohen Milstein’s Antitrust practice. He assists in discovery and evidentiary-related aspects of litigation and deposition preparation.
Prior to joining Cohen Milstein, Kyle was a discovery attorney in high-profile antitrust, bankruptcy, and environmental cases. He also worked on behalf of several states litigating parties responsible for fueling the opioid epidemic through the deceptive marketing and sale of prescription opioids.
Before pursuing a career in private practice, Kyle was a legislative assistant and legal fellow working in the U.S. House of Representatives.
While in law school, Kyle served as Article Selection Editor for the Journal of Transnational Law and Policy and was a member of the Jessup International Law Moot Court Team.
Kate Newton is a staff attorney in Cohen Milstein’s Consumer Protection practice, where she assists in discovery and evidentiary-related aspects of litigation and deposition preparation.
Before joining Cohen Milstein, Kate was a contract attorney for nearly a decade, working on a range of individual and class action disputes, including securities, antitrust, consumer protection, employment, and intellectual property.
Prior to that, she was an attorney at the Legal Aid Society, Criminal Defense Division, in New York City; and the Broward County Public Defender’s Office in Florida.
While attending law school, Kate received awards for legal writing and the Moot Court Honor Society. Through the Lawyers Committee for Human Rights, she achieved political asylum for an Afghan refugee.
Allison Pienta is a staff attorney in Cohen Milstein’s Employee Benefits/ERISA practice. She represents the interests of employees, retirees, plan participants and beneficiaries in ERISA class-action lawsuits across the country.
Prior to joining Cohen Milstein, Allison was an ERISA class action litigator at a boutique law firm in Washington, D.C., where she worked for over 15 years. Allison also owned and operated the first Mayweather Boxing & Fitness franchise in Virginia.
Allison is the contributing author of Bloomberg BNA’s ERISA LITIGATION (5th ed. 2014), Chapter 22 “Attorney-Client Privilege and Work Product Doctrine.”
While attending law school, Allison was a law clerk at AARP Foundation Litigation, where she drafted amicus curiae briefs on behalf of retirees.
Robert Dumas is a staff attorney at Cohen Milstein and a member of the Securities Litigation & Investor Protection practice, although he frequently assists the Antitrust practice. He is engaged in document discovery and review and in preparing attorneys for witness depositions. Since joining the firm in 2014, Robert has worked on some of the most important mortgage-backed securities (MBS) litigations to emerge from the financial crisis.
Prior to joining the firm, Robert practiced at a leading plaintiffs firm, litigating securities fraud matters, and then later at a smaller plaintiff firm, where he helped litigate the In re IPO Securities Litigation in which investors accused the leading investment banks of rigging IPOs during the 1990s tech bubble. After nearly a decade of legal wrangling, a $586 million settlement was reached. Earlier, he practiced at a leading intellectual property and trademark law firm where he defended trademark matters for an international clothing manufacturer.
During law school, Robert served as an editor of the Journal of Law and Public Policy.
Susan Banks is a staff attorney at Cohen Milstein and a member of the Antitrust practice. In this role, she assists in discovery and evidentiary-related aspects of litigation and deposition preparation.
Susan brings to bear extensive discovery experience, having worked as a discovery attorney with several renowned defense firms prior to joining Cohen Milstein. Susan was also the Founder and Director of The Socratic School of Language in Washington, D.C. where she created and administered a multilingual language curriculum and innovative afterschool programming in partnership with public, private, and charter school networks.
Leslie Greening, a staff attorney at Cohen Milstein, joined the firm in 2013. As a member of the Public Client practice, she conducts research in investigations, business development, and ongoing litigation. She also conducts legal research and participates in drafting and discovery work involved in the firm’s representation of state attorneys general and other public sector clients in investigations and lawsuits involving false claims and fraudulent and deceptive trade practices.
Prior to her work at Cohen Milstein, Leslie was a Post-Graduate Fellow at nonprofit legal aid groups in North Carolina, including the Wake Forest University Innocence & Justice Clinic.
Megan Reif is a staff attorney in Cohen Milstein’s Civil Rights & Employment practice. She is a litigator with experience in all aspects of litigation from case investigation through trial. She takes a hands-on approach to working with clients, guiding them through the sometimes unfamiliar and daunting legal system to successfully prepare them for testifying at depositions and trial. She works closely with economic and statistical experts to support the certification of class claims and sophisticated damages analyses. Ms. Reif has had the honor of representing clients in recent successful settlements challenging alleged racial discrimination in hiring and obtaining insurance coverage for gender-affirming healthcare.
Previously, Megan was a law fellow at Cohen Milstein working in the Civil Rights & Employment Practice Group.
Before joining Cohen Milstein, Megan was a Fair Housing and Community Development Fellow at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. During her fellowship, she worked on litigation and fair housing policy, including authoring Assessments of Fair Housing, which analyze demographic data, local policies, and relevant laws to identify barriers to fair housing and potential solutions. She also worked as co-counsel with the Civil Rights & Employment team on Long Island Housing Services, Inc. v. NPS Holiday Square LLC (E.D.N.Y.) prior to joining the firm.
Megan speaks on fair housing issues. In 2019, she spoke on a panel discussing “Gentrification, Affordable Housing and Eviction: Defining the Impacts on Low Income,” as a part of Ecumenical Advocacy Days.
During law school, Megan was the recipient of the F. Hodge O’Neal Corporate Law Award and was the Media and Symposium Editor of Global Studies Law Review.
