Joseph Sellers Speaks on Government Retribution Risks

Complex Litigation Ethics Conference

Joseph Sellers, founder and co-chair of the Civil Rights and Employment practice, has been invited to speak at the Complex Litigation Ethics Conference at the Center for Litigation and Courts at UC Law San Francisco, October 15 – 16, 2026.     

Joe’s panel, “Risk of Reprisal: The Ethics of Taking Legal Action Against a Vengeful Government” will take place at 10:00 am PDT. Joseph and the other panelists will discuss ethical challenges and risks attorneys face when litigating against federal and state governments. They will also explore ethical issues arising in recent cases and the approaches attorneys have taken to address them.
