Daniel Sommers, a partner in our Securities Litigation & Investor Protection practice, has been invited to speak at The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law on September 17, 2026, at 5:50 p.m.
Daniel will speak to the upper-level class, Class Action Securities Litigation, on the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act (PSLRA) from the plaintiff’s perspective. Enacted more than 30 years ago in 1995, the PSLRA dramatically changed the landscape of federal securities class action litigation. Daniel will provide the students with his insights on how and why the PSLRA was enacted, its most important provisions, and the specific impacts of the PSLRA on securities litigation and investor rights.
Daniel will also discuss the priorities and initiatives of the current Securities Exchange Commission and how those priorities and initiatives are impacting investors and the private enforcement of securities laws.
