Jordan Murov-Goodman, counsel in Cohen Milstein’s Human Rights practice, represents victims of torture, human trafficking, forced labor, and other violations of international law in litigation against multinational corporations, foreign governments, and other powerful wrongdoers.
Jordan is devoted to advancing the rights of marginalized and often indigent people. Before joining Cohen Milstein, Jordan was a public defender at the King County Department of Public Defense, where he represented hundreds of clients facing misdemeanor and felony charges. Earlier in his career, he litigated novel Fourth Amendment jurisprudence issues as a legal fellow at the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and advocated for the First Amendment rights of journalists as a legal fellow at the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press.
While attending Columbia Law School, Jordan was the online editor of the Columbia Human Rights Law Review and a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Jordan also worked at Cohen Milstein as a summer associate.
Jordan is not yet admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia. He will be applying shortly. In the meantime, he will be working under the close supervision of Cohen Milstein partners who are licensed to practice in the District of Columbia.
