The National Law Journal named Harini Srinivasan, a partner in Cohen Milstein’s Civil Rights & Employment Litigation practice, one of its 2025 Elite Trial Lawyers – Rising Stars.
Harini, who is also the co-chair of the firm’s Hiring & Diversity Committee, has extensive experience representing marginalized groups in employment and civil rights class actions involving cutting-edge legal issues across discrimination and wage and hour statutes.
Harini spearheads the firm’s work under the Pregnancy Discrimination Act (PDA). Last August, she helped settle a precedent-setting pregnancy discrimination class action against the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency in Gabaldon v. U.S. Department of Homeland Security (EEOC) for $45 million. This certified class action addressed the agency’s interpretation of the PDA, impacting more than 1,000 agents. This historic settlement included sweeping injunctive relief to eliminate long-standing discriminatory practices at the agency.
She also works closely with the National Women’s Law Center on nationally important issues concerning women’s access to reproductive healthcare and has been at the helm of the Allen v. AT&T Mobility Services (N.D. Ga) matter through two appeals to the Eleventh Circuit, which addresses the intersection of pregnancy and corporate attendance policies.
Harini was also instrumental in bringing Jock v. Sterling Jewelers to a successful conclusion in 2022 for $175 million. This precedent-setting gender discrimination class arbitration involved numerous novel legal issues.
Prior to private practice, Harini was a Georgetown Law Center Women’s Law and Public Policy Fellow and worked at the National Partnership for Women & Families.
Harini speaks frequently on EEO matters, FLSA, expert issues and class strategy. She is also an executive board member for MWELA, the local NELA affiliate and of Law360’s Editorial Advisory Board – Discrimination.
