Washington Hebrew’s Motion Denied – Litigator of the Week Runners-Up

Shout out to a [ . . .] Cohen Milstein team working alongside lawyers from Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison representing eight children who were sexually abused at a synagogue preschool in Washington, D.C., as well as the children’s parents. D.C. Superior Court Judge Alfred Irving, Jr. this week denied Washington Hebrew Congregation’s interpleader motion seeking to turn over its insurance proceeds for the court to distribute and cancel the trial in the case, which is set to begin March 13. The plaintiffs team in the case includes Paul Weiss partner Karen Dunn, counsel Martha Goodman and associates Erica Spevack and Benjamin Cabranes and Cohen Milstein’s Steven Toll and Takisha Richardson.
