Takisha D. Richardson Named Fellow to Florida Bar Association’s Wm. Reece Smith, Jr. Leadership Academy

Cohen Milstein’s Takisha D. Richardson has been selected to be part of Class VII of the Florida Bar Wm. Reece Smith, Jr. Leadership Academy Fellow program.

As a 2019-2020 Academy Fellow, Ms. Richardson will join a select group of attorneys from around the state who will be provided the opportunity to network, interact, collaborate and build relationships with state and national bar leaders, develop and enhance leadership skills, and get an insider’s look at the important role The Florida Bar plays within the legal system. The Academy’s Mission is to identify, nurture and inspire effective leadership within the Bar and the legal community.

Ms. Richardson is an Associate at Cohen Milstein, and a member of the firm’s Complex Tort Litigation practice group, as well as the firm’s Sexual Abuse, Sex Trafficking and Domestic Violence team, which recently received Daily Business Review’s 2019 Innovated Practice Area Award. She focuses on representing child sexual abuse victims and adult survivors of sexual abuse.

Prior to joining Cohen Milstein, Ms. Richardson was an Assistant State Attorney and Chief of the Special Victims Unit of the State Attorney’s Office for Palm Beach County. She brings more than a decade of experience both as an attorney and as a supervisor of a team responsible for the prosecution of crimes against children and the elderly, and sexually motivated offenses.
