Kalpana Kotagal to Speak at the 2020 National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA) Convention

Kalpana Kotagal, a Partner in Cohen Milstein’s Civil Rights & Employment practice, has been invited to speak as a panelist at the 2020 National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA) Convention, which will be hosted via Zoom on July 8 – 10, 2020.
Ms. Kotagal’s panel, “The Nuts & Bolts Of Litigating Sexual Harassment & Assault Cases,” focuses on the nuts and bolts of litigating sexual harassment and sexual assault cases in the #MeToo era, including arbitrating vs. litigating such claims in court; proceeding under a pseudonym; nondisclosure agreements; how to handle sensitive emotional distress issues; how to limit discovery of medical evidence; state laws that provide greater coverage; problems of protecting contractors or undocumented workers; gathering support from victims’ rights and women’s groups; and mediation of sexual harassment cases.
