On Thursday, December 12, 2019, Cohen Milstein's Laura H. Posner, a Partner in the firm’s Securities Litigation & Investor Protection and Ethics & Fiduciary Counseling practices, will chair the New York City Bar CLE program Securities Litigation 101: Commencing and Contesting a Federal Securities Class Action. The program will feature a faculty of seasoned members of the plaintiff and defense bar that will examine the legal and strategic considerations underlying securities class action litigation, current precedent and emerging legal theories, and practical steps to increase each side’s likelihood of success.
The program is sponsored by the Securities Litigation Committee of the New York City Bar. Ms. Posner was recently appointed Chair of the Committee. Alice Buttrick, an Associate in Cohen Milstein's Securities Litigation & Investor Protection practice serves as the Committee's Secretary.
