Mr. Pierson, a former-Co-Chair of Cohen Milstein’s Antitrust practice (2010-2017), is widely recognized as one of the top Antitrust litigators in the United States.
Under his leadership, Cohen Milstein successfully handled several precedent-setting cases, resulting in some of the largest Antitrust recoveries in U.S. history, including In re: Electronic Books Antitrust Litigation (N.D. Cal.), which resulted in a settlement for plaintiffs of more than $560 million, and In re Urethanes (Polyether Polyols) Antitrust Litigation (D. Kan.), where the jury returned a $400 million verdict for the plaintiffs, which was trebled under federal antitrust law to more than $1 billion, the largest verdict in the country in 2013, as reported by The National Law Journal.
Law360 selected Cohen Milstein’s Antitrust practice as a “Competition Law Practice Group of the Year” (2013, 2014).
Prior to joining Cohen Milstein in 2009, Mr. Pierson spent more than 20 years representing defendants, including Microsoft Corp. and 3M Corp. As a result, Mr. Pierson possesses deep insight into defense strategies and has earned the respect of opposing counsel.
