Agnieszka Fryszman Invited to Speak at UCLA Law’s 2021 Promise Institute Symposium

Agnieszka Fryszman, Chair of Cohen Milstein’s Human Rights practice, will speak at the University of California Los Angeles Law School’s 2021 Promise Institute Symposium, “International Human Rights and Corporate Accountability: Current and Future Challenges” on February 26, 2021 via Zoom at 1:30 p.m. PST.

Ms. Fryszman’s panel, “Corporate Liability for International and Transnational Crimes,” addressed recent lawsuits alleging cross-border criminal activity that is aided and abetted by corporations, including U.S. corporations. Specifically, the panel discussed recent transmissions to the ICC regarding war crimes; aiding and abetting jurisprudence in various legal systems around the world; the transnational laws around human trafficking; and holding corporations accountable civilly for funding paramilitary groups.
