Some criticize lawmakers that the bill does not include any new funding to address GenX.

A change in the law may be too late for those that live around the Chemours’ Fayetteville plant. Today, several individual lawsuits were combined into one. CBS North Carolina’s Investigative Reporter Richard Essex has been following the GenX cases and joins us with the latest.


That’s an issue attorney Ted Leopold takes issue with. “Clearly they have polluted the Cape Fear River and people's health has suffered. Their properties have suffered. They can't drink the water. We have time to look for answers to the guess of why that happened.”
