BARBRI has agreed to make its online bar-review products more accessible to blind and vision-impaired students as part of a consent decree in a disability suit.

The suit settled this week, according to a press release. The suit, filed last year in Dallas federal court, had claimed violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Texas human rights law. The amended complaint is here.

BARBRI agreed to modify its web content, mobile applications and study tools using industry-recognized standards. The company will also add resources to help it comply with the standards and to respond more quickly to requests for accommodations. It did not admit wrongdoing, according to the consent decree.
