A recall has been issued for 119,140 Toyota Avalon vehicles manufactured June 5, 2002 through December 20, 2004. Certain 2003-2004 vehicles may contain an air bag defect that can cause an inadvertent deployment of the front air bags and/or seat belt pretensioners. In the event this occurs, vehicles occupants are at serious risk of catastrophic and/or secondary injuries.
