Subaru has issued a recall of approximately 10,137 Forester vehicles manufactured from January 2013 through March 2013 due to a manufacturing defect that can cause the floor mats to curl obstructing the pedals and causing driver distraction.  Brake or accelerator pedal interference may result in very high vehicle speeds and make it difficult to stop the vehicle, which could cause a crash.

Dealers will inspect the vehicle and perform the necessary service free of charge.  Owners may contact Subaru directly at 1-800-782-2783 and reference safety recall no.WQH-44.
