Nissan has issued a recall of approximately 123,308 Altima vehicles manufactured March 21, 2012 through March 26, 2013 due a spare tire defect.  The spare tire in certain vehicles may have been significantly over or under-inflated which can cause the tire to fail and increase the risk of a catastrophic injury.

This recall was expected to begin on May 3, 2013. Dealers will inspect the vehicle and perform the necessary service free of charge.  Owners may contact Nissan directly at 1-800-647-7261. Additional details can also be found by referencing NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number: 13V158000.
