A recall has been issued for approximately 180,131 Jeep Wrangler vehicles equipped with a 3.6L engine and manufactured January 23, 2011, through February 23, 2013. Certain 2012-2013 vehicles may contain an auto defect that causes a hole in the transmission oil cooler line resulting in a loss of transmission fluid. A loss of fluid may impact transmission function which can increase the risk of a crash and personal injury.

This recall is expected to begin sometime in July 2013. Dealers will inspect the vehicle and perform the necessary service free of charge.  Owners may contact Chrysler directly at 1-800-247-9753 and reference safety recall no. N28.
