Honda has issued a recall of approximately 748,481 Pilot and Odyssey passenger vehicles manufactured from March 13, 2008 through December 21, 2012. Certain 2009-2013 Pilot and 2011-2013 Odyssey vehicles may be missing one or more rivets that attach the airbag module to the airbag cover.  The absence of more than one rivet could alter the performance of the driver's airbag during deployment, increasing the risk of enhanced injuries during a crash.

This recall is expected to begin on or around February 16, 2013.  Dealers have agreed to inspect the vehicle and perform the necessary service free of charge.  Owners may contact Honda directly at 1-800-999-1009 and reference safety recall no. S75.  Additional details can also be found by referencing NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number: 13V016000.
Owners are encouraged to contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or go to www.safercar.gov with any questions or concerns surrounding these or any other recalls or safety campaigns.
