Ford has issued a recall of approximately 33,021 C-Max hybrid vehicles for failure to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 201 regarding "Occupant Protection in Interior Impact."  During vehicle testing, the vehicle failed to meet a requirement that is in place to reduce head injuries to vehicle occupants.   

This recall is expected to begin on August 19, 2013.  Dealers will inspect the vehicle and perform the necessary service free of charge.  Owners may contact Ford directly at 1-866-436-7332 and reference safety recall no. 13C02.  Additional details can also be found by referencing NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number: 13V303000.
