A recall has been issued for approximately 45,961 RAM 1500 4x4 trucks manufactured June 26, 2012 through February 5, 2013. Certain 2013 vehicles may contain a software defect that causes the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) module to disable when the vehicle is started. A disabled ESC system may result in loss of directional control, increasing the risk of a crash.

This recall is expected to begin sometime in August 2013.  Dealers will inspect the vehicle and perform the necessary service free of charge.  Owners may contact Chrysler directly at 1-800-247-9753 and reference safety recall no. N37.  Additional details can also be found by referencing NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number: 13V287000.
