Two safety recalls have been issued for 2014 Nissan Versa Note vehicles manufactured between April and July 2013.  The first recall is due to a manufacturing defect that may reduce the strength of the rear seat latch bolts.  Seatback failures have resulted in catastrophic injuries to vehicle occupants for decades and consumers should take note of this important recall and take action to ensure it is resolved as quickly as possible.     This recall is expected to begin on August 12, 2013.  Dealers will inspect the vehicle and perform the necessary service free of charge.  Owners may contact Nissan directly at 1-800-647-7261.  Additional details can also be found by referencing NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number: 13V326000.

The second Versa Note recall is due to lower body bolts that may be missing or incorrectly torqued.   The missing bolts may affect the vehicle's integrity in the event of a rear impact, increasing the risk of catastrophic injury. This recall is expected to begin on August 12, 2013.  Dealers will inspect the vehicle and perform the necessary service free of charge.  Owners may contact Nissan directly at 1-800-647-7261.  Additional details can also be found by referencing NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number: 13V324000.
