Cohen Milstein, as one of the co-lead counsel, filed a national class action alleging that Dish Networks unlawfully raised its prices for satellite television services in February 2011 by raising prices on customers who were bound by a two-year contract with discounted pricing for the first 12-months.  A settlement was approved by the United States District Court for the Northern District of California which provided class members with significant benefits, including monetary account credits, free Pay-Per-View vouchers and free Blockbuster By Mail service.  The settlement was also able to secure a guarantee that for certain Dish packages, Dish would not be able to raise prices again until January 31, 2013.
