Diana L. Martin, an attorney at Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll PLLC, is first place winner of the Palm Beach County Bar Association Mock Trial Script Writing Contest.
The contest was sponsored by the Bar’s Law Week Committee, whose annual community outreach program aims to provide a variety of legal education programs in Palm Beach County. Ms. Martin’s script will be used this year and for many years to come in mock trials throughout local schools. In addition to mock trials, Law Week programs include Shadow a Judge at the Courthouse and Dial a Lawyer, April 28, 29 and 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The public can call 561-687-2800 for free legal information.
Ms. Martin handles complex litigation and civil appeals in a wide variety of practice areas, including tort liability, product liability, managed care liability, and consumer class actions. A 2002 High Honors graduate from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, Ms. Martin clerked for the Honorable Martha Warner at the Fourth District Court of Appeal prior to entering private practice. She currently sits on the Board of Directors of Florida Legal Services, chairs the Audit Committee of Families First of Palm Beach County, and serves on The Florida Bar Journal/News Editorial Board, which she chaired in 2012-2013. Ms. Martin is a co-author of Florida Insurance Law and Practice, an annual publication by Thomson/West and is regularly published in legal journals. She was recently recognized as an Up and Comer in the South Florida Legal Guide and as a Rising Star by Florida Super Lawyers Magazine.
