A recall has been issued for approximately 25,734 Chrysler 200 vehicles manufactured March 9, 2014, to December 15, 2014, and equipped with a 9-speed automatic transmission.  Certain 2015 vehicles may contain an auto defect that can prevent the transmission from shifting into the Park position.  If the shift indicator displays "Park" but the park lock does not engage, the vehicle may roll away increasing the risk of a crash.

This recall is scheduled to begin on April 10, 2015.  Dealers will inspect the vehicle and perform the necessary service free of charge.  Owners may contact Chrysler directly at 1-800-853-1403 and reference safety recall No. R08.  Additional details can also be found by referencing NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number: 15V090000.
