National Highway Transportation Safety Administration's (NHTSA) Office of Defect Investigation (ODI)

A safety recall has been issued for approximately 58,698 Cadillac ATS vehicles for failure to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 118 regarding "Power-Operated Window, Partition, and Roof Panel Systems." Certain 2013-2015 vehicles may contain an auto defect that affects the power-operated roof panel auto-close function when the non-recessed "Slide" or "Tilt" switches are pressed. If the switch is not recessed, the roof panel switch may inadvertently be pressed resulting in unintended auto-closure of the roof panel, increasing the risk of personal injury.

A recall schedule has not been set, but once determined; dealers will inspect the vehicle and perform the necessary service free of charge. Owners may contact Cadillac directly at 1-800-458-8006 and reference safety recall No. 15119.  Additional details can also be found by referencing NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number: 15V106000.

Owners are encouraged to contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or go to www.safercar.gov with any questions or concerns surrounding these or any other recalls or safety campaigns.
