Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. – Theodore J. Leopold, Managing Partner of Leopold Law, P.A., will be presenting at the 68th Annual Workers' Compensation Educational Conference hosted in Orlando next week.  Leopold will serve on an expert panel assembled to discuss “Current Trends in Litigation and Alternatives to Workers’ Compensation.”  The presentation will be held at The Orlando World Center Marriott on Tuesday, August 20, 2013.

The conference is organized by The Workers’ Compensation Institute (WCI), a nonprofit educational organization that brings together professionals from across the country for networking and information sharing.

Leopold has been practicing law in Palm Beach County for over 25 years, and has extensive experience litigating Third Party Workers’ Compensation claims in which an insurance company’s willful and negligent denial of care results in catastrophic harm beyond the initial injury.  These cases are brought when the workers compensation system is used by insurance carriers as a weapon to harm individual employees during the claims process.

Leopold specializes in consumer justice litigation with a focus on complex products liability, managed care, catastrophic injury and class action litigation.  He is current President of Public Justice Foundation, a national organization that fights for justice through precedent-setting and socially significant individual and class action litigation. His work has been featured in the National Law Journal’s Top Cases of the year and he was nominated for “Trial Lawyer of the Year” for his ground breaking litigation involving the managed care industry.  Mr. Leopold lectures nationally to Bar and Professional Trial Associations on such issues as catastrophic injury, product liability, class action litigation, trial tactics and consumer justice issues.
