In re Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC Securities Litigation

Cohen Milstein Sellers and Toll PLLC ("Cohen Milstein") serves as co-lead counsel for the plaintiff class in this securities fraud class action against Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC ("RBS").  The class action was filed on behalf of those who purchased RBS securities through several public offerings and on the open market between March 1, 2007 and January 19, 2009, inclusive (“Class Period”) and investors who purchased RBS Series Q, R, S, T and U preferred share offerings.  The complaint alleges that RBS misrepresented the bank’s exposure to sub-prime and toxic assets as well as the economic consequences of RBS’ acquisition of ABN AMRO.

In May 2009, Cohen Milstein’s client, Massachusetts Pensions Reserves Investment Management Board (MassPRIM), was appointed as co-lead plaintiff in the class action against the UK-headquartered RBS.

On July 15, 2009, Cohen Milstein filed an amended complaint on behalf of a global class of investors in RBS -- including UK and European investors-- who purchased RBS securities and were thereby damaged.
